The front side is different, but the back side is the same. With the one
piece post you have an easier time as you just remove the old post and
stick the new one on. With 2 pieces you have to get it aligned nicely.

In effect, neither job is easy. I rebuilt my own B-Posts (you *do* mean
the B post, right? Behind the door / afore the rear fender?). It took a
long time but was well worth it, the door now shuts tight, first try.
Makes a nice "chunk" noise too. I always get a kick out of seeing the
shiny red MGB (or whatever) with the door that don't shut. Paint won't
fix everything...
If you are like me and have more time than money, you can make the whole
thing too, just takes lots of patience and welding gas. And some
inventive hammering!
