Kramer,
The TR4 and TR4A are very similar. The place for the radio has 3
round holes. The end holes may have to be elongated if they are
not as wide as the Kenwood knobs. The TR4 mounting plate holes
were a little off.
The real problem is that the center hole was never made to take a
tape cassette player. So you must cut out a rectangle shape to
allow the tape player bezel through. This is not hard and the
new bezel covers it up fine.
You can see the KRC-2007 being used at the custom sound website
that Jim Altman supplied.

Brian,
I used the Kenwwod KRC-2007 from Crutchfields on my TR4. The TR4
radio mount plate took a lot of cutting but I have and extra
plate if I ever get worried about the originality.
The installation looks great. It has a 70s look. Check it out
on their website:

I am still looking for a decent set of speakers and an enclosure
for under the dash. I am using a real cheesy set of Radio Shack
3" bracket mount speakers. Terrible sound quality but on cost
$19.
Any one got a better solution for a TR4?

Hi John!
I own a TR4/A. I know that the TR4 doesn't have a centre dash
support
as the TR4/A does & that's where my radio mounts. I also don't
know were
or how the TR6 radio mounts.
Question: What procdures did you do to see that the KRC-2007
would
work. Measuring is important, but were the ponits to measure & on
what
pieces?
