Although of the same heritage, they are definitely not the same. The 8 is

Like the Dauphine, the 8 also had a Gordini variant. But unlike the
Dauphine Gordini, the 8 Gordini was a mean beast sporting 1300cc, double
DCOEs, hemi head with racing plugs, 5 close-ratio speeds and well over
100 BHP SAE on tap.
The 10 was an 8 with an extended bonnet (i.e. luggage) section.
