Michael,
Except for the model of the car being pulled, you very precisely
described my trailering of Huxley (Mk1 Spit) from Seattle to Tucson, AZ
(and many other times around the northwest).
The 4.3 is a very strong engine and very much up to the task of hauling
the TR3. I recently sold my '90 Blazer (replaced it with a S10 with
another 4.3) and it had over 205,000 miles on it. It was still running
strong after hauling that car over many thousands of miles.
Regards,
Joe Curry
