Any recommended donor heater fan (I assume that you are on the other side of
the
big pond and your choice of a donor vehicle may not be available here in the
US)? Did you keep the existing TR electric motor or use the motor from the
donor vehicle?

Well, I really don't think that you have a problem there.
I did the same upgrade on both my Herald and on my Vitesse.
The plastic fan blades and the motor and rheostat that I used for the Herald
came from a Spitfire, and that for the Vitesse came from a GT6.
As far as I could see, they were identical.
The three position switch is a common Lucas switch, from an autojumble.
I think it's a heater blower switch from a Spitfire?
