Some time ago I was interested in purchasing a VW Westphalia and while cruising
around the various websites, came across one with what I felt was a really
interesting
format. There was a map of North America (although it could have been the
world),
and wherever a lister resided, was a highlighted (highlit?) spot that could
be clicked upon. This was typically a city, and often several listers lived
there. Upon selecting the city, the various listers' coordinates, along with
pictures of themselves and their vehicles, and _short_ comments, appeared.
The purpose of this was for people going on a trip. Each lister could reveal
as much as they wanted eg. email address and approximate vicinity, and whether
they would entertain visitors, then if someone was planning a trip they could
contact people, make a plan, and visit along the way.
If something along the lines of this could be done for the Triumphs list I think
it would be great. Unfortunately I don't have the time nor the ability to do
so, but if someone ends up going to the trouble of what's being discussed
perhaps
this "map feature" could be built in.
Sorry if I appear to be just trying to add work to someone's life; that isn't
the intent - just when I saw this VW site it seemed pretty cool. Alas, I believe
it is no longer active or I'd reference it for y'all; at least, I can't find
it anymore.
