I need the help of the list again.

I am trying to determine the ratio of the rear end I just got and have tried
to follow the instructions from the list (thanks Trevor).  If I hold one of
the axles, spin the other and count the pinion turns, I get about 1.9 turns
of the pinion for every turn of the axle.  What am I doing wrong?
