Fellow Enthusiasts
About a week ago I requested information on the color codes for TR6 front
springs, because the new stock springs from Moss were a lot stiffer than my
28 year old original ones (not surprisingly, I suppose). There were only a
few responses, and no one seemed to know what the color codes
meant---apparently this is one of the mysteries of Triumph ownership.
(There was a reference to suspension data from TriumphTune, which is now on
the way).
Based on assurances from Frank at Moss Technical Services (thanks!), I
installed the springs and I'm happy to say they work fine. The ride height
is good (it may be marginally higher---I didn't measure the old height).
Also, the effect of bumps and pot holes is actually reduced, although this
is probably due to cleaning up the attachment of the Addco anti-sway bar.
Happy Motoring!
