"FE" in fact is the prefix for "Federal" emission-controlled 1296 engines
used in the Mk.3 Spitfire. "FF" engines are to the same speciication as
the "FE" engines and were used in a small batch of Herald 13/60s built
for Puerto Rico. I'm not sure if "FG" was used as a prefix.
