Overdrives

Ok, quick question(s):
    1)are the gearboxes for a '73 TR6 and a '70 interchangable?
    2)are the A and J type Overdrives interchangable?

I'm pulling a good engine from a 70 to put in a 73, I may be able to get
a J type overdrive, however this won't do me a lot of good if I can't
mix and match. i.e. 70 engine+ 73 tranny + J type overdrive.
