Stag clock

Someone on this list or the Stag mailing list some time ago, changed the 
inner workings, or should I say not workings, of the Stag clock, replaced it 
with a modern quartz clock, but used the orignial Smiths face and hands.  If 
anyone has done something similar, please let me know.  Better still, if 
anyone knows of a good, but cheap place to have mine repaired, let me know.
