Just wanted to say thanks to all who replied. There were 2 dominant
suggested methods to keep the visors in place.
First suggestion was that the longer rod is slightly bent thus causing an
interference fit in order to keep the visor in place. A comparison to the
original rod might yield some detail as to the amount of bend necessary. The
second method suggested was to slightly crimp the tube with the rod inserted
either using a vise or pliers, taking great care to use towels or similar
material to protect the vinyl material on the visors.
