Mistakes? The BMIHT? Of course not! :)
In actuality, they do make mistakes. But in fairness, I expect that the
mistakes were likely in the original documentation ot problems with the
original records themselves.
A good example: Anders Clausager told me that the Spitfire
International Vehicle Identification numbers never had the number "9" in
the date position (indicating a 1979 model). However I have several
registered in the Spitfire database. I was so convinced the BMIHT was
accurate that I had one owner send me a photo of his commission plate
and Windshield tag. Sure enough there was a "9" there!
