    unless you've got rust problems, i'd leave it alone. man, are you
getting into a big mess...if you're dead set on doing this, you might check
into having the body dipped in chemicals that remove rust and possibly this
gunk as well. i've also heard about heat guns softening it up and allowing
you to scrape it off, then using some stripper/varnish remover to removed
the final residue.
    but if your body is solid, MOVE ONTO TO THE NEXT PROJECT! DON'T LET THE
DARK FORCES DRAW YOU IN!              Tom
