Sorry to those of you that were waiting on my report. I only have e-mail at
work, and just got in today.
Went out Saturday to see the car. You will need a trailer to move it. It
looks like the rear shocks have been either taken out or are shot, or both.
The car is on the ground, so it is hard to tell how the frame it. Where I
could see there was the typical rust, but nothing all the way thru, on the
frame. The body is in pretty good shape, except for the p-side floor, which
is rusted thru. The engine is out, but available, so I don't know what it
it looks like. The body had some surface rust, but nothing terrible. Also
looks like it had some front end damage, as there is bondo peeling off, but
it wasn't real thick where I saw (maybe 1/8"). The seats, etc., look pretty
good. Overall, if you have the desire, I'd say that this is restorable.
However, like I said, I couldn't see the underneath very well.
When I spoke to the guy, he said he'd consider trading the car for a good
handgun, so he just wants to get something he wants instead of the car.
