I have a "solid state" fuel pump in my Spit bodied GT-6. Pump is mounted next to the fuel tank behind the card board trunk trim panel. Pump noise is very obvious if the ignition is on but the engine is not running (pump noise serves as a warning device so that I don't leave the ign. on when working on the car and fry the Crane ignition module). Once the engine is idling, I am not able to hear the pump. |
