Try this first.
As a newbie to this list I recently posted a question regarding replacement
of my TR6 differential seals and repairing the mounting brackets. I felt
that surely I would receive a number of replies as this was a fairly common
repair experience. Instead I received none.
I was puzzled until I learned that this list maintains an extensive and very
easy to search achieve.(http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=triumphs)

I did not receive a reply because the long time list members had apparently
seen this topic come and go for years. I searched the database and got some
great tips. Some of these posts were nearly four years ago. But you see I
hadn't discovered the list then.

>From the search I was able to email individuals directly who had experienced
this repair. In this manner I was able to get more extensive information
rather than a summarized reply.

The other list I participate on, (Ferrari) has a limited FAQ section. I
commend the folks who maintain this list and now feel as if maybe I have
completed newbie orientation.

Conclusion: repairs now complete with relatively little hassle and now
enjoying my car again.

Too all other newbies. Try the archives first. Chances are your questions
have probably not only been asked but also answered. Communicate directly
with someone who has been there. Most times they will be happy to help.

Good Luck and ain't it great to be riding again!
