Best non-Lucas alterantor for TR6?

I am almost done reassembling my engine and I plan to replace my old tired
alternator. Which is better the GM alternator or the Bosch unit out of a
Ford Fiesta? I want one with good performance so I can hookup a loud stereo
later on but also would like something that doesn't look totally out of
place under the hood.
