Odd, After looking at the wiring diagram the only cause I can dream up is a bad connection amongst the earth (black) wires for the various relays mounted around the fuse panel. The earth wire for the start relay may be (this is not shown in the diagram) daisy chained to the earth terminal for the headlamp relay and the connection may go no further.
