79 Spit questions...

Sorry to be so non-descript in the subject but here goes....

Can one fit earlier model Spitfire bumpers (front and rear) to the 79 in
order to get rid of those UGLY late model ones?
Whilst (how's that?) removing the engine and gearbox can one pull them
(and then reinstall) as a unit?  I understand that the bonnet will need
to be off the car to facilitate removal refitting (jeesh).
This brings to mind the mid 60's when I worked for Oakland Honda in
California and we were also a Triumph, BSA, Royal Enfield dealer.  The
service manuals used to bring us to hysterics.  Things like:

"Lest the flywheel come adrift, ensure it's security by fitting the
(whatever size) nut (bolt?) and torquing to (some number)."

Always SO proper those British.
