For those that remember and are interested, I have uncovered the reason for the
unique features of my TR4-A.
The car was purchased new in England, and taken to S.A.H. and had a blueprinted
engine, fiberglass fenders and the J.A. Pearce center lock wheels installed.
It was then driven for several years in England before being shipped to the
United States, and eventually to my ownership. The original owner has since
passed away, so I can not find out if it was ever raced or rallyed while he
owned it.
I guess in the end it really doesn't matter whether it was or not, I still feel
I have a truly great car and hope that my restoration will do it justice.
Thanks to everyone who helped me uncover the history of my car and where it
fits into the Triumph galaxy.
