  Irv I'm sorry to hear about your 6's troubles. I replaced the
  wiring on the Green Man back when I was putting it back together.

  I always recommend doing the job well rested. It will take about 3x
  the time you think it will.

  Then:

  Check the position of the stars, the phase of the moon (waxing is
  better than waning... you want the light to "grow"), set a glass of
  single malt scotch by an oak tree, kill a chicken and walk 3 times
  sunwise around the car reciting "Oh mighty Lucas, let no shadows
  fall." If there are no vague mutterings coming from the darker
  corners of your garage, no whiff of sulphur, get a drop light, your
  wiring diagram and proceed.
