Folks ( and especially Jonmac),
Completely Knocked Down (CKD) TR4's were assembled in Belgium. (For tax and
other reasons). My question is whether the body tubs were shipped from ST
assembled and numbered or whether the tubs were put together in Belgium. In
either case -- What body numbers, if any, would have been used.
According to someone who is coming at me for advice and who has a verified
CKD car, BMIHT says that they (BMIHT) do not have any records for body
serial numbers for CKD cars. The fellow who is asking me is not on the list
and is concerned that his TR4 does not have a body number plate. However, I
can't find any info in my usual sources about body numbers for CKD cars.
