Brian,
Check the temp in the radiator with a inexpensive candy thermometer you can
pick up at "ACE" type hardware stores.

Subject: Bad temp gauge or sensor?

>I am trying to troubleshoot a suspect temp gauge on a 77 Spit. The gauge

the sender or the gauge is bad without substitution? Maybe resistance or
voltage drop across the gauge or sender??
