A few months ago i tried to source some u-joints locally. The only place
i could find any was a parts store that specialises in drive train and
big truck parts (road tractors). the clerk measured and matched with a
Dana-Spicer. The price was quite high and in line with the price you
mentioned.
The funny part of this story is he said he always stocked a few of these
for a rental place here in town. They fit the motorised aerial platforms
(like a big scissor (SP?) lift. He said he didnt know they fit anything
else and got a good chuckle when i told him what i wanted them for.
