In Bill Piggott's book Original Triumph TR2/3/3A on page 88 he mentions that
some owners have used 9mm thick spacers behind the hubs so that they don't
have to cut the wheel studs. This sounds like a great idea. Especially
since I am considering using the original disc wheels with whitewalls for
show, and eventually mount good radials on wires for all around driving. The
use of spacers would give me the best of both worlds.
My question is, has anyone on the list had experience with this type of
setup, and what are the pros and cons?
Thanks in advance for your response.
