Folks,
I have been contemplating the installation of a Hayden engine cooling fan
for quite some time. I knew the local PEP Boys carried them, so took
this years restoration budget money and went to buy one. Imagine my
surprise when I found the fan (12inch) could be bought for only $69.95.
All the major mail-order houses want $139.95 for it. The 69 dollar one
has no thermostat / wiring / switch etc., but I have shoe boxes full of
that stuff in my basement, so did not need it anyway.
Installation was extremely easy, hardest part being the removal and
replacement of the cardboard radiator shroud. (Installed mine as a pusher)
Found a 12V 20A switch from some other project and wired it up through
an inline fuse. Runs like a champ and makes the neatest "spin up the
turbojet" noise, which can only be heard with the engine off.
Great product at a great price. No interest, etc.

Cheers,
