Quite a few years ago, I saw a 79 or 80 Spitfire with a steering wheel I'd never seen before, and haven't seen since. I don't remember whether the wheel itself was leather-covered or the standard rubber, but the center insert, which is usually just a flat aluminum disc with very plain "Triumph" lettering, was in this case a much more elaborate "medallion" with the Leyland "L-swirl" logo in blue on a white background. Anyone have any insight as to what the story is here? |
