anyone have a good idea for keeping it tucked in tightly? I've been
thinking of bonding some Velcro to the inner surface. It won't show once
installed.

There should be lift the dot fasteners along the inner upper edge of the
cockpit rear. If memory serves there are 5 in my 58 and 3 in the TR3B. Hard
to explain but there should be one in the center and one at each left and
right corner. If they're not there on your car you'll need to get the studs
with the threads and nut, and the female lift the dot plates/retainers for
the cover. I think you'll have to pull the tonneau capping to install the
studs. I would also bet you find the holes for them when you do. Be sure to
put the lift the dot plates on the cover so you can pull (undo) them from
above. Also the plates are installed kinda "upside down" so the lift the dot
words face the inside of the cover.
