Rats and D'oh,
After topping up the oil last week I left my filler cap off. Discovered I
had no problems with oil delivery to the valve train when I noted oil
dripping under the car later that day. Filler cap is lying along the road
somewhere. So guess that now is as good a time as any to buy a new aluminum
valve cover. I seem to recall discussions on which were the best a while
back and thought I'd ask those who have made the switch which supplier TRF,
VB or Moss has the best. I'm partial to the looks of the black ribbed
Triumphtune but was this the one with poor casting and finish? What about
gasket...same as for the standard cover? Your esteemed advice is
appreciated. My present aluminum foil cap will not hold out much longer and
I want to get on the phone today to order.. TIA.
