Fred and List members. I too had a very difiicult experience with the
one and ONLY great people. I bought a 66 TR4A off pictures, drove 800
miles to pick it up and the owner was a no show. Perhaps the reason he
didn't show was the title wasn't clear. The car had passed through
several hands without being transfered. Though the car was represented
as a driver, it barely ran. Fortunately, I didn't care about that, as I
was planning a complete restoration. I took the car home anyway, as it
was relatively rust free, and they had my money. My sister in law is a
lawyer in CA, and she contacted him and the local DA office. The title
then arrived, as he likely paid all the back fees to the CA DMV. And
this guy is a licensed dealer. I know I got out of situation with ONLY
frustration, and it could have been much worse. Jerry.
