Keith, I tried to think about just what you may have meant. Assuming the best, go ahead and sandblast the panels BEFORE you do the body work to those panels! The sandblasting will confirm the quality of the panels expecially if you already have pitting or complete perforations in the panels. Then of course you will then be able to weld in new metal and finish the repair with body filler.
