Hi all,
has anybody experience in modification of inlet and exhaust
ports of a TR6 Head (more than porting) ?
In the book "How to build, modify & power tune cylinder heads;
Speedpro Series" i saw some pictures of different engines.
They have pictures of a TR7 & Dolomite 8-valve, a 1500 Spitfire
and a 1275 Rover A-series, but not of TR6 engine.
In all three cases they remove the valves guide (guide boss)
by using a carbide burr, so they do most for the other engines.
Is this practical for the TR6 head as well?
Remove how much?
Will that decrease much of the life time of the guide?
P.S.: How to get the book (or a copy) from D.Vizard (Theory and
practice of ...), because it's out of print?
Many Thanks for any advice,
Rainer
