Well, It would be a little harder than a straight bolt-in, becaude motor mounts are different and the steering rack and radiator are farther forward. It's like a Spit Six swap. Really, it would be easier to drop a 4A body onto a TR6 or TR250 frame. Not that it couldn't or shouldn't be done. But why? Power wise, you can do about as much, just not as smooth. But, admittedly, I'm biased ... I just think the 4cyl TR is a higher quality piece of iron... (nomex on) Chris L. '66 TR4A |
