Front Axle Rebuild

I am back on the list after a long absence - but more importantly back into 
my TR250 restoration:

The question is - 

Would someone give me some advice on rebuilding the front axles - I took the 
whole suspension apart and have it back to the point where I need to install 
the stub axles - hub - bearings etc.

Any Tips???
What is the best way to: Measure end float - pack the bearings - install the 
whole mess??
