Transmission Serial Numbers?

I have an early TR6 transmission (oddly enough fitted to a TR4A).
I have not been able to find anything that cross references transmission
numbers to production years.


Has anybody got such a document?  I followed one link that got me to the
UK, but I could find nothing about transmission numbers.

Short of that, I am willing to try to compile a list of transmission
numbers and comission numbers so it might be able to cross-index production
info.

Any help?
