Subject: First run in 15 years
Wow! Finally finished my convertible GT6 project and drove it from my
shop to the alignment shop last night. What a blast! It was about
50F here last night (just west of Toronto) and the old 6 had its first
run in some 15 years. The GT6 was the first Triumph I ever owned and
I bought it while in university in 1976. It has had many rebuilds and
many miles of fun but has been languishing for years until I decided
to put a new frame under her and rebuild her, ground-up, with a Spit
body tub (ie. convertible). Everything is stainless, new and shiny.
Can't wait to get some real driving in this summer!
