Has anyone tried a cooling system flush with the engine running? An old
issue of Practical Classics suggested this, but I haven't tried it yet.
Any ideas?
Basically their system was:
1) drain system
2) remove thermostat
3) remove top hose from rad, leaving it connected to the cylinder head
4) close-off the rad tank hole
5) use a pipe to direct water from the top hose away from car
6) insert garden hose into rad filler hole and turn on water
7) start engine as soon as rad fills
8) control revs by hand to set-up strong surge water flow
9) keep adding fresh water until water coming out is clear
