I'll be installing a new Robbins hood (top) on my TR4A shortly, and
wonder if there are some experienced persons willing to give
suggestions. I am aware that the top bows had small pieces of compressed
paper for padding, as I owned a '66 4A new, and remember that feature.
However, I am interested in how the hood material is attached and padded
as it goes over the metal front lip, and then under the riveted seal
retainer. Does the material extend rearward of the retainer? What
prevents the edge of the metal lip from chaffing the material? Any
