I'm getting ready to disassemble the rear end on the TR6 so that I can have
those mounts beefed up. I mentioned what seems like excessive play in the
differential itself, and someone mentioned possibly replacing the
collapsible spacer if it is one of the diffs that uses the collapsible
spacer.
The number on my differential is CD56264. Does this help determine if this
diff carries the collapsible spacer? Is replacing the spacer a pretty easy
job once the diff is out? Any chance of screwing anything up in terms of
alignment of gears, etc. by doing this?
