Just got back from a trip from Illinois to Florida to watch the Sebring 12 Hour. We drove the TR6 75 to 85 mph all 3500 miles. Observations: At 75 mph we got 30 mpg At 85 mph we got 26 mpg Best feature: Overdrive Worst feature: Uncomfortable left leg position. One 800 mile day seems to kill all the nerve endings, however, and then it's fine. Lots of compliments, hi 5's, thumbs up from others At Sebring, saw only three other street LBC's -- Jeff Snook's TD, an MGB, and a Marcos (!) Great race. Great trip. We'd do it again. -- uncle jack 61 TR4 Rallye Replica Racer 71 TR6 Street Car named Desire |
