If the manuals mentioned every occurrence where possible problems would be
encountered, they'd come in 3-volume sets! I get a kick out of how Haynes,
et al always make the operations sound so matter-of-fact. Again, part of the

Thanks for everyone's advice on the prop shaft removal. It came
right out
after levering the transmission forward slightly. According to the
manuals,
the shaft should have just slipped out without any resistance. They
never
mentioned prying it out slightly. I've learned the hard way not to
force
things unless you're sure that's the way its supposed to be done.
