According to TRF's TR2/3 glove box companion, windscreens were originaly
available in either chrome or aluminium and that the aluminium ones were
quite rare. I'd be sure to what you really have before doing anything
drastic. The info I'm refering to here is on page 65 of the 1998 companion.
