It's because the B (like new, small cars) don't handle well enough to
allow you to drive around poholes and bumps, so they soften the suspension
to compensate ;-)

Umm... experiment? Try slightly lighter oil in the rear shocks. Tighten
your seat belt and enjoy the ride. let some air out of the tires. Take
the top down on the 4 so you don't hit your head :-)
