On national news yesterday.
The FCC has made a decision that an Internet call is a long distance call.
This opens the door for the phone companies to take the issue to court and
based on the
FCC ruling WIN and begin charging by the minute for internet access. Obviously
the lobbyist couldn't convince Congress but got to some A$$H... in the FCC (He
or
she will probably end up as Vice President for Toilet Paper at AT&T pulling
down a Mil. or two a year) and came in through the back door.
If you are inclined, write your Congressperson and inform them that some
Bureaucrat at the FCC has overruled their decision on internet access and
before long htey'll
enact a law that makes it illegal to charge long distance rates for internet
access.
