Point well taken on the perils of locating the battery in the rear of the
GT6+, however, I'm not going to just stick it in the back with a really long
battery cable! The battery will be housed in a sealed aluminum box with a
gasketed lid. The gases produced by the battery are vented to the outside via
a tube that is connected to a vent in the rear panel. This battery box is made
for racing and is designed for this purpose. It's distributed by Summit
Racing. Thanks for the warning and it is good advice for anyone who wants to
just plunk their battery in the spare tyre well.
