Listers,
I wish to thank all listers who responded to my request for
advice about refinishing my TR3 steering wheel. Great stuff!
I have pretty well decided to do it on my own, either by
using the Eastwood kit or buying some locally available
epoxy and paint at an industrial supply house that I deal
with. I will post the results for anyone who might be
interested. I have pretty well completed the frame and
suspension on TS30767LO. All that remains now is to finish
redoing the brake lines and fit new rubber boots and
retainers to the rear cylinders.
I could not find a bubble flaring tool for imperial size
tubing, but the chap who is checking out my engine told me
that the metric one available from Snap-on does the job
nicely. I bought one of these and it works just fine.
So, the next step is to determine the engine and
transmission condition, then have a serious look at the body
tub...
And on the downside, some &***%$ stole my 6 month old tandem
axle trailer from outside my shop. I even had a tongue lock
on it!
Thanks again
Cliff Pike
