Once again I see this reference to the TR6 steel wheels being fragile.
Where did that come from?  I have never heard of a TR6 steel wheel
breaking, cracking or otherwise being unusable (besides people ramming
htem into a curb at 40 miles an hour).  I know in competetion use the TR4
wheels are not prefered, and have been known to seperate the inner section
from the outer.  The original TR6 wheels are used on several race cars
that I know of(including my A-Prepared auto-x car_, and at least 25 on
cars that run in the Cox and Buckles Series in the U.K. (U.K. guys would
know more about that).  Just get your wheels refinished, that would be
most frugal way to go.
