Name That Car

Sitting here watching the TV movie The Sixties. Having lived through it in
high school and college I figured I knew all the answers......... but what
was that car that picked up the pregnant daughter hitch hiking to San
Francisco? It looked very British but make had a split windshield i.e. a bar
up the middle? But, man, for all us 50 somethings....... what memories this
show is bringing back!
