Hi Brad,

Mine took quite a bit of "persuasion"... I had replacement parts on
hand, so wasn't worried about anything but the steering box. I didn't
need to worry. I didn't break anything. Use a plastic mallet or
something like that. I just put mine in a vise, got a good grip on mine
with a large pair of pliers and pulled like crazy. (You do have the
circlip out, don't you?)

You can also tap on the bottom of the whole unit with a drift or
something, if needed. There is a flat plug at the very bottom of the
pinion that comes out through the top, as well.

Also, there is a pin that slides in beside the upper bushing, to keep
the whole unit from rotating in the housing. Watch for it and try not to
lose it. It would be pretty easy to make one, but even easier just not
to lose it in the first place (the voice of experience!)

Do me one small favor, please... when you disassemble, check the
location of the O-ring and let me know. I'm not sure I put mine back in
the right place. Thanx!
